Girls Junior Cricket

Ages 10 - 17

The Girls  Cricket League is the overarching girls only junior community cricket competition in WA. This League is open for girls aged 10-17 years of all abilities and skill levels. Each Junior Cricket Association in the Perth Metropolitan area administers their own Girls League local competitions, with some exceptions being administered by the WACA.

The Girls Cricket League is a fast, fun, and competitive cricket league which is organised specifically for girls. It is played within the Perth Scorchers Girls League which is the flagship girls competition in Perth. We host junior girls teams in the U11’s, U13’s, U15’s and U18’s age groups.

What to expect?

  • Training days, times and venues will be confirmed at season start.

  • The club supplies junior teams with playing equipment to share including helmets, gloves, pads, bats, thigh guards and wicket keeping pads and gloves.

  • Players are required to provide some gear as below, available from cricket equipment suppliers like Meulemans Joondalup and sporting goods stores like Rebel Sports.

    • Large brimmed cricket hat

    • Abdominal protector (box)

    • Normal running shoes/sneakers (spikes not required)

  • We find that most players will start to use their own playing equipment when they reach Stage 2/3 and onwards. Purchases however are at their own discretion.

  • Parent involvement required for coaching and game day duties, including field setup & game scoring

  • Strongly encourage parents or guardians to participate in training and game day activities to help foster a culture of engagement and involvement for our Girls teams. This will also help families gain more exposure to cricket and help keep all members involved and engaged with the club.
