Boys Junior Cricket

Ages 9 - 17

Junior cricket is the next step for kids who are ready to advance their cricket skills through organised games at your local club. The junior cricket pathway nurtures their passion, builds their confidence, allowing them to create lifelong memories. Our Junior cricket players align to the Junior Cricket Pathway from Cricket Australia (CA):

What to expect?

  • Training days, times and venues will be confirmed at season start.

  • The club supplies junior teams with playing equipment to share including helmets, gloves, pads, bats, thigh guards and wicket keeping pads and gloves.

  • Players are required to provide some gear as highlighted below. This is available from specialized cricket equipment suppliers like Meulemans Joondalup or general sporting goods store:

    • Long White cricket pants

    • Large brimmed cricket hat

    • Abdominal protector (box)

    • Normal running shoes/sneakers (spikes not required)

  • We find that most players will start to use their own playing equipment when they reach Stage 2/3 and onwards. This is however at the discretion of each player / family and not mandated.

  • Parent involvement required for coaching and game day duties, including field setup & game scoring
