The Blasters Program is spread across two levels, Junior Blasters for 5-7 year olds, and Master Blasters for 7-10s.

Junior Blasters Cricket

Ages 5 - 7

Junior Blasters is for kids to develop through fun, game-based activities. It’s all about developing the basics of batting, bowling, fielding and fundamental movement skills. Activities and games are designed for small groups to maximise participation.

 

What to expect?​

  • Safe and inclusive environment.

  • Recommended for kids from Pre-Primary to Year 1 in school.

  • 60-minute sessions scheduled to run weekly on Friday evenings from 5PM at Seacrest Oval across the season.

  • Sessions will include activities with parents who can join in on the fun as well.

  • Make new friends and learn new skills, including catching, throwing and teamwork.

  • All participants receive their own Blasters pack including a personalised shirt! 

  • All equipment is supplied and parents are encouraged to join in the fun.

 

No qualifying skills needed, Junior Blasters is for everyone!

  • The whole setup is geared toward letting each child play to their strengths and grow confidently

  • We keep things safe by using plastic bats and a soft rubber ball

  • Sessions mix in softer balls of various sizes, so every kid can join in and level up at their own pace

Master Blasters Cricket

Ages 7 - 10

Armed with the basics, the Master Blasters are ready to apply their foundational skills in modified games of cricket. Blast Games let everyone bat, bowl, field and wicket keep. ‘Skill Zone’ activities keep kids developing the fundamentals, while ‘Sideline Activities’ keep them moving between hits.

What to expect?​

  • Recommended for kids from School Years 2 – 3

  • Generally, Master Blasters can bowl with a straight arm over 14 metres, but don`t worry,  there are no wides, and the ball can even bounce 2 times before reaching the wicket!

  • 90-minute sessions scheduled to run weekly on Friday evenings from 5PM at Seacrest Oval across the season.

  • All participants receive their own Blasters pack including a personalised shirt! 

  • All equipment is supplied and parents are encouraged to join in the fun.

  • Kids (and parents) will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to progress through the program to junior cricket.

 

Learn more about the game while still having fun!

  • Played with a plastic ball, bat and stumps

  • More focus on the cricket game with all players getting a chance to bat, bowl, field and wicket keep!
