FAQ's
The club supplies a kit bag for each team containing the balls, stumps etc. and also some equipment for the players to share - helmets, bats, gloves, batting pads. Players have to supply their own:
Long White cricket pants
Large brimmed cricket hat
Abdominal protector (box)
Normal running shoes/sneakers (spikes not required).

Kids from the age of 11 can trial with District Cricket clubs in the month of February each year only. District clubs can only be trialled at for SDJCC are Scarborough, Joondalup, Wanneroo and Mount Lawley. SDJCC will send around an email closer to the time to remind parents of the clubs contact details and the trial dates-locations.
Girls can stat with Blasters from the age of 4 and can eventually play in teams for Years 4/5, 6/7, 8/9 and 10-12
Each year girls and boys up to 15 years of age can trial for the State under 12 and under 15 team. Trials are held in late January each year and you child needs to have their name submitted before then with regsitrations starting in December time of the previous year.
1) Beach Cricket - public holiday weekend in March for Blasters (4-9 year olds) and Juniors (10-17 year olds)
2) Interclub scratch matches between similar age kids often before the season starts to give all the kids some game day practise
3) WACA cricket days held for year 9-12 boys and girls 8 a side 16 over games held on the WACA ground in December each year
4)Sausage sizzles throughout the year; 5) WACA adhoc organised cricket games/activities - emails sent by the club.
